60MM MORTAR LAUNCHER MP-60

Purpose

60mm mortar launcher is designed for missions targeted at direct destruction of enemy personnel and facilities at a range of up to 3.5 km.

The mortar may be used with both a large base plate and a bipod for firing from concealed firing positions and with a small base plate without a bipod with an
electronic collimator sight for firing without a bipod from hand-held position (for units of special operation forces).

Advantages in comparison with similar samples:

• utilization of high-strength aluminium alloy for mortar base plates, which reduces its weight and improves operational characteristics;
• possibility of circular targeting without moving the base plate;
• possibility to move the firing pin in a safe position (when unloading);
• availability of cooling ribs and increased mortar tube strength for utilization of prospective 60mm mortar shells with increased firing range (up to 3.5 km);
• utilization of electronic mortar sight for firing from hand-held position with a case 2 pointing of EMS-1 and availability of small base plate (for units of special operation forces)
